Triffid

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/triffid-david-lamb.html?newartwork=true
Close up of the pistil of a Hibiscus flower, which looks like a tree one might expect to find on another planet. This was taken in a yard with an outdoor swimming pool, which made for a nice background blue. This was taken with natural light using an extension tube. This is available at my dlamb photography website in various print sizes.
This photo is also part of the Macro series on RedBubble, and is available for digital download and is also available royalty free licensing at 500px.

Foggy Morning Drive

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/foggy-morning-drive-david-lamb.html
This was the scene on my way to work a few years ago, with a dense early morning fog just beginning to lift from the country road I used to commute on. I thought it a nice enough scene to pull over and grab a shot, though I will admit it was difficult to be motivated to go to work when the daytime just didn't want to arrive. This is on dlamb photography available as prints of many sizes.

This is also part of my Cityscapes collection on RedBubble, where it is available as metallic prints, clothing, and throw pillows, and is also available for digital download and royalty free licensing through 500px.

Full Bloom

http://www.redbubble.com/people/dlamb/works/12030429-full-bloom
This looks incredibly similar to a sunflower, but much smaller. This is some sort of weed growing in the woods, and the flower portion was about a half an inch (one and a half centimeters roughly). Taken at Windlestrae Park, PA-US. Available in standard size also, email me for details.

This photo is part of the Macro series. Here is a listing of all my Collections. Feel free to browse the collections on the right, or the various individual photographs and sets on the left. All photography is available as Greeting Cards, Matted and Framed works, Canvas and Photographic Prints. Please email me for any special requests.

Sentinels

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/sentinels-david-lamb.html?newartwork=true
Some of the trees at Fort Washington State Park, PA-US. The sun was setting and I really liked the back lighting. I used a fill flash to get some extra light onto the tree itself. This is on dlamb photography available as prints of many sizes.

This is also part of my Trees collection on RedBubble, where it is available as metallic prints, clothing, and throw pillows.

The Exiled

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/the-exiled-david-lamb.html?newartwork=true
Digital collage consisting of a few of my own photos, I added a sepia tone to complete the mood. I will admit to being somewhat inspired by the Led Zeppelin 4 album art, as far as atmosphere goes. This is available at my Fine Art website in a variety of prints.

It is also part of my Trees collection on RedBubble, even available now as throw pillows and metallic prints.

It is also available @ 500px in print and for digital download and licensing.

Alien Earthling

Jellyfish are like alien earthlings, part of a time before man.  Shot at Adventure Aquarium, Camden NJ-US. I could watch a jellyfish swim for hours, it's almost hypnotic. Adventure Aquarium is a g way to spend an afternoon. Available as greeting cards and high quality prints. View my full site here to browse for more.

Alien Earthling is also part of my Life Forms collection at RedBubble, available for shirts, hoodies, and throw pillows.

Model 95

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/model-95-david-lamb.html
I wish I can still get film for this camera my father gave me. It's a Polaroid Land Camera Model 95. The model 95 was both Polaroids first Land Camera, as well as the first commercially successful instant in camera film developing system. More information on this camera can be found here. Shot taken on a busted basement floor with natural light from the sun streaming through a window. I thought the rough nature of the floor added some character to the shot, and the light was well directed by the window and the time of day. It is available as prints and greeting cards on my Fine Art website.

It is also part of my Stills collection on RedBubble.

Farmhouse at Sunset

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/farmhouse-at-sunset-david-lamb.html
Shot at Norristown Farm Park, Norristown PA-US. 3 RAW bracketed exposures merged in Photoshop CS3, and converted to black and white. I like HDR, but I really don't like seeing halos and the other distortion that a lot of HDR photos seem to have. Not saying it's easy to avoid, but I tried to with this photo. I have to give a lot of the credit to the position of the sun, really made this a dramatic scene when I was standing there. Hopefully I captured some of that drama in this. Available at my site in variety of prints and sizes.

This is also part of my Monochromatic collection on RedBubble.

Bloom

http://www.redbubble.com/people/dlamb/works/11965486-bloom
This was the top of a tiny ‘weed’ that was growing, taken from bird's eye view. Using a macro extension tube revealed tiny flowers soon to bloom. I just love how macro shots reveal the beauty that the tiny world around you has to offer, hidden in plain sight. This is available at my dlamb photography website in various print sizes.

Leaning Tree

http://www.redbubble.com/people/dlamb/works/11962777-leaning-tree
Spring is taking hold after massive rain, and flooding, in Southeast PA. The streams are very deep and active as a result. Found this hidden little cove on a lunch hour hike, which resulted in muddy pants for the remainder of the work day. Worth it for the relative peace of the forest.

Spring Rain

http://www.redbubble.com/people/dlamb/works/11920792-spring-rain
A sunny rain shower (sunshower was the term we used growing up) opened up, making for many beautiful scenes. This macro was one of my favorites from the afternoon, but I have a few rainbow pics to sort through. I will tell you that macro shots, outdoor, with no tripod, can be a bit challenging on the body. Balancing in an awkward position for long periods of time seems to be unavoidable, but can certainly be worth it.
