Golden Days

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/golden-days-david-lamb.html

Some wet grass after a rainstorm, catching the sunset in the #goldenhour. The sun was gleaming off of every #raindrop in the background, making for some beautiful #bokeh . Available for purchase as prints and greeting cards at dlamb photography.

This is part of my Stills collection on RedBubble, available as prints, printed tote bag, throw pillows, stickers and shirts.

It is also available for purchase as a digital download, and to be licensed at 500px.

Watering Hole

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/watering-hole-david-lamb.html
A #macro photo of a #hoverfly feeding after a rain storm. I was initially just after some of the #water #droplets on leaves, but these flies were swarming these #daisies, so all I had to do was wait. Available as greeting cards and framed prints on dlamb photography.

This is part of my Life Forms collection on RedBubble, available as prints, printed tote bag, throw pillows, stickers and shirts. It is also available on 500px as digital downloads, prints, and available for licensing.

Crowned Countryside

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/crowned-countryside-david-lamb.html

A really beautiful #sunset after a rain storm. Shot @ Harriet Wetherill Park in Plymouth Township PA-USA.I used a ND Gradient filter to darken the sky and allow for decent exposure of the field. I wish this scene unfolded about 60 seconds earlier as there would have been more ambient light, but the sun needed to be just right to bring out the beauty of the sky. Available on dlamb photography as cards, prints and framed pieces.

It is also part of my Landscapes collection on RedBubble, even available now as throw pillows and metallic prints.

It is also available @ 500px for digital download and licensing.

A River Runs Through It

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/a-river-runs-through-it-david-lamb.html
Rain drops collecting on a leaf right after the rain. I have always been fascinated by the magnifying effect a drop of water can have on whatever it sits upon. The sunlight boosted this a bit, and gave it an interesting glow. Available as greeting cards and framed prints on dlamb photography.

This is part of my Macro collection on RedBubble, available as prints, printed tote bag, throw pillows, stickers and shirts.

It is also available for purchase as a digital download, and to be licensed at 500px.

Eye of the Storm

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/eye-of-the-storm-david-lamb.html
Macro droplet abstract shot on glass over a printed pattern. The reason the drop looks like a doughnut is that a bubble luckily formed inside the water bead. This was caused by an air bubble within the eye dropper used to place the drop, and had the unexpected result of bending the background pattern in a ring of reflectivity. Available at dlamb photography.

Also available in my Abstract collection on RedBubble.

Available as digital download for wallpaper and also available for licensing @ 500px.

Steady On

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/steady-on-david-lamb.html
Second shot in this series. See I was doing a little bit of hiking and ran across this guy walking through the grass. I don't know why, but I still get as excited to see a turtle out in the wild as I did when I was 10 years old. It's like a holiday or something. I get a feeling that some of the other hikers around me had a chuckle as I laid flat on the grass for about twenty minutes taking photos, and trying to talk encouragingly to the turtle, under the mistaken idea it would keep it calm. He made a slow approach to the tall grass eventually. Fun day! This case an Eastern Box Turtle; fairly common in Pennsylvania. Available as prints and greeting cards at dlamb photography.

Understandably Shy is also part of my Life Forms collection at RedBubble, available for shirts, hoodies, and throw pillows.

Also available as digital download and available for licensing at 500px.

Predator

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/predator-david-lamb.html
A ladybug on the hunt in the forest. Taken at Carl Kohler Park, Horsham PA-US. Hard to believe these are fierce predators, but I'm sure they instill fear into their prey. Available as greeting cards and framed prints on dlamb photography.

Monkey Shines

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/monkey-shines-david-lamb.html
Just a pic of my old home’s favorite ‘pet’, a really old toy monkey, from a bygone time when parents liked scaring the hell out of their children. The eyes mechanically pop in and out in beat with the cymbals. Nice right? I added one of my own textures to it to increase that old, creepy vibe. Funny thing about this photo is that it is one of the first I shot with my Canon back in 2009. It is available as prints and greeting cards on dlamb photography.

It is also part of my Stills collection on RedBubble.

Curious

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/curious-david-lamb.html
While at the Animal Kingdom in Disney World, Florida-US, we were behind a glass that the gorillas supposedly couldn't see through. But they knew we were there. This big guy came strolling over to the glass. A lot of people thought he was protecting his mate and/or territory, but he was very calm. I think he was just curious. This is on dlamb photography available as prints of many sizes.

Curious is also part of my Life Forms collection at RedBubble, available for shirts, hoodies, and throw pillows.

Marsh Creek Lake

\
The dock at Marsh Creek Lake, which seems like a bit of word play, but is in fact the name of the lake. It is like saying Sand Dune Desert. Shot taken in Marsh Creek State Park, PA. It is a beautiful park, and the lake has a lot of boating, though unfortunately not many picturesque sail boats where out this day. Available on dlamb photography as cards, prints and framed pieces.

It is also part of my Landscapes collection on RedBubble, even available now as throw pillows and metallic prints.

It is also available @ 500px for digital download and licensing.

Laugh

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/laugh-david-lamb.html?newartwork=true
My parent’s cat Cassie, laughing at one of my jokes.I had this in the 1650 Gallery in L.A. a few years ago, and it is still one of my personal favorites. Plus she is a nice cat, even people who don't care for cats seem to like her. Shooting was fun, just hard to keep her still. She wasn't used to people on the floor at her level. This is available at my dlamb photography website in various print sizes.

This is also part of my Monochromatic collection on RedBubble, and is available as throw pillows and tote bags over there right now.

The Heralder of Summer

http://david-lamb.artistwebsites.com/featured/the-heralder-of-summer-david-lamb.html?newartwork=true
Playing with the sun in the warm weather, shot @ Carl Kohler park in Horsham PA-US. Played with the color balance a little to enhance what already was an aged look to the color of the photo due to the sun and a polarized filter. I have noticed some interesting color effects show up sometimes when the scene or subject is back lit by the sun, or the sun is in the frame of the shot. Basically it is a natural Instagram effect. Available on dlamb photography.

It is also part of my Landscapes collection on RedBubble, even available now as throw pillows and metallic prints.
