Monarch the Wandering Butterfly

A monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) feeds off of the nectar of a flower. They are passing through our region of Southeast Pennsylvania this time of year, from late July to early August. I think this is a male, but can be difficult to tell by an untrained eye such as mine.

This is part of my Butterflies and Moths collection on RedBubble, available in:

Monarch the Wandering Butterfly is also available on dlamb photography as cards, prints and framed pieces.

It is also available @ 500px  for digital download and licensing.
